Tequila Lime Chicken

South of the Border...

Sweetness of honey with the spicy, earth character of Tequila make this a great summer grilling recipe. The flavor of cumin gives a slight Southwestern or Mexican feel.

Tequila Lime Chicken

Ingredients (makes 1.5 Cups)

4 - Chicken Breasts
1/3 Cup - Tequila (gold, not white)
2 TBSP - Honey
1 - Lime (zest and juice)
1/2 TSP Ground cumin


Pound the chicken breasts a bit if you want
Mix Tequila, Honey, Lime and Cumin.
Grill or Smoke Chicken up to about 150 Degrees.
Brush with sauce, move to indirect heat if possible and finish at 170 degrees.
Brush with sauce again after removing from heat.
