Jamaican Jerk Rub

A traditional spice blend of the Jamaican Islands, Jerk rub is both hot and sweetly citrusy at the same time. This rub is great for chicken or turkey.

Jamaican Jerk Rub

Ingredients (makes 1.5 Cups)

6 TBSP - Onion Powder
6 TBSP - Dried Onion Flakes
2 TBSP - Allspice
2 TBSP - Coarse Black Pepper
3 TBSP - Cayenne Powder Seasoning
2 TBSP - Sugar (Trubinado, Brown, or White)
4.5 TSP - Thyme
4.5 TSP - Cinnamon
1.5 TSP - Nutmeg
1/4 TSP - Dried Chile (or Habanero if you want it hotter)


All ingredients should be dried and ground.
Mix thoroughly and store cool in a dark, dry area in a tin or covered, moisture-proof container.
